Hell’s Gate, Saba – The French capital of Saint Marin put on quite a spectacle on Tuesday.
A Carnival parade in the city of Marigot had hundreds of people captivated this week, and I was among them.
I spent three days on the French side of St. Martin, and enjoyed watching many dancers strut their stuff to upbeat Caribbean music during the event.
On the down side, the parade was hilariously uncoordinated, and rain arrived midway through the event. However, most of the performers, and some members of the audience, were happily drinking and whining (dancing) away.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and looking at these pictures, it appears as though everyone involved had fun as well.
Without further ado, here are The Orange Traveler’s top five photos from the 2016 Carnival parade in Marigot:

I like the photo of the tricolor lady! I was so sad to miss the French Side’s Carnival. We moved to the Dutch Side last year and I still don’t always find events on time! Got to see the Dutch side’s Carnival, though.

The parade in Marigot was great, but I’m sure the Dutch side’s Carnival was just as good — if not better! I’m glad you enjoyed the pictures.
