Across the world, Carnival is an experience quite unlike any other.

The wild and spectacular Carnaval in Brazil began on Feb. 13 and will end Feb. 18.

But Brazil is not the only country to have intriguing Carnival traditions. In Venice, Italy, people dress up for the event, which makes the city feel even more magical than it already does.

“(Carnevale) lasts about two weeks, involving concerts, theater, street performances, general drunken mayhem and many people wandering about in fancy and strange costumes,” the jacarandajournal said.
