Today’s inaugural Friday edition will focus on future travel plans, specifically my hopes and goals.

Ever since my first journey abroad, I decided that I wanted to visit 50 different countries, including every major continent. The initial goal was created by my 16-year-old self, and while the number was arbitrarily chosen, it still rings true today.

The goal I set approximately five years ago led me to apply for a travel scholarship, which will lead me to Brazil for a few months in 2015. This year, I also plan on visiting my sister, Hannah Cranford, who is currently in the Dominican Republic working as a community public health educator for the Peace Corps.

I also am planning to travel to another country in The Caribbean, but no plan is set as of today. In total, I will most likely be traveling to three new countries this year, which will bring my total to nine. I have visited Italy, Vatican City, France, Belgium, The Bahamas and the United States.

My travel goal is the structure of my bucket list, and while I have many other hopes and ambitions, traveling the world is one of my ultimate desires. If you would like to help me reach this goal you can donate more than $20 by clicking here. All funds will help the site develop and help me reach my goal of traveling to 50 countries.

If you want to donate to The Orange Traveler and extend its life another year, use this link. By donating $20, you give me and other contributors the opportunity to provide unique and interesting travel commentary on a consistent basis, and we would like to do so for years to come.
